At my desk at 8.30am. I don’t know what’s happening to me!
Wearing my new favorite jacket (and my not so favorite beard) on my way from the parking lot to the coffeeshop
Frost warning. Had to wear my shawl collar sweatshirt.
More writing. 86 degrees today. I wore this breezy seersucker shirt, with irregular stripes in various shades of orange and yellow. I got this one 7 or 8 years from the Gap outlet, and honestly don’t remember how much I paid for this. Tan cotton beach pants not shown in this picture.
Need more coffee to hammer out this manuscript! It’s been forever since I started!! Sometimes I wish my advisor was more strict; I write much faster with a hard deadline.
What I did not wear today: bright red cotton pocket square thrifted yesterday.
I initially debated putting on my recently acquired blue-with-red-stripes tie, but it felt excessive for just sitting at a coffeeshop to write. I later realized that the bright red PS was too strong by itself. Luckily, I still had the Goodwill goodie bag in the car. I swapped the red PS for a striped navy and white silk PS, that is a lot more grounded.
I finally figured out photosets!
Some outtakes of what I wore today at the poster session. I got to look all professorial while treading on the dreams of some of these bright-eyed, bushy-tailed young ‘uns.
Mensroom photo is obligatory, of course.
Back at my desk after the poster session; Harris tweed jacket (thrifted, $4), Balenciaga paisley tie (thrifted$2)
Today’s getup. Pretty basic, went out for lunch with prospective grad students. Pretty casual yet put together.
